Rebekah is Gala Co-Chair for 2018 and 2019! Born in South Georgia and a first generation college graduate, she is passionate about service and is committed to advancing LGBTQ rights and progressive causes in our region.
In addition to serving as Gala Co-Chair, Rebekah serves on HRC’s National Board of Governors (board liaison for Volunteer Engagement) and Atlanta’s Steering Committee (2018 HRC Steering Committee of the Year). She was selected 2018 Steering Committee Member of the Year, and she previously co-chaired corporate sponsorship for HRC Atlanta. Percy is Gala Co-Chair for 2019 and 2020! Born in Atlanta, he’s a recognized leader in our LGBTQ community and local politics.
In addition to serving as Gala Co-Chair, Percy serves on the Executive Committee of HRC’s National Board of Governors and Atlanta Steering Committee as board liaison for Community Engagement. He’s a co-chair of HRC’s National Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee and also sits on the Executive Committee of the Democratic Party of Georgia LGBTQ Caucus.
Percy is also an award-winning communications professional, and is currently on staff at Georgia Equality where he focuses on the organization’s development and communications goals, branding, and overseeing its digital presence.
Percy is a 2018 HRC Community Engagement Leader of the Year and named to Business Equality Magazine’s 2019 list of 40 LGBTQ Leaders Under 40.
